Dolled Up Faves: January

Some of my favorite blog posts to read are "monthly favorites" or "What I Love Right Now" type posts. It's a great opportunity to discover new products with the added bonus that each item comes highly recommended from your favorite beauty/fashion bloggers. The concept is pretty self-explanatory. You put together a compilation of all of the products, clothes, accessories, etc. that are currently getting some serious love from you. A brief explanation for why you chose each product is optional, but I appreciate when the blogger provides the reasoning behind their picks. Anyway, let's get to it!

Currently Coveting: Michael Kors Rose Gold Watch

Yes, I realize everybody and their mother has a Michael Kors watch. Let me try to shamelessly justify my desire for this watch. First of all, it has bling. Priorities, ladies and gents. Let's get them straight. Second, I love the color of it, and I know that it would match just about everything in my existing wardrobe. The rose gold color is just a tad softer than its gold predecessor in my opinion. Third, this particular model fits perfectly on my petite wrist. How do I know this? I happened to innocently stop by the jewelry counter at my local Macy's on my lunch break one day -wink wink. I am loving the oversized watch trend, but unfortunately they can look well, oversized on me. This one fits the bill.

And let's not forget it's most practical use. It tells the time!

A New Day, A New Blog.

With 15 days of the new year under my belt, I decided to try something I've been wanting to do for a long time. Blog. That's right, blog. Revolutionary, right? I tried it once, but the timing of it was all wrong. Consequently, my poor, former blog sat there with a whopping two posts (one was the introductory post) for about six months before I decided to delete it. This time I promise to be good.

So what can you expect? Expect posts about my favorite fashion and beauty picks. Perhaps some random news about my life? Maybe some posts about my favorite music and books, thrown in for good measure?

What not to expect? Anything deep and profound. Let's keep it fun and lighthearted, shall we?
